Get to know the P3P team  

Julian Harris

Partner

Julian set up P3P Partners LLP in 2011 along with Rupert Lywood. Today, he oversees the business, particularly P3P’s transactions.

After 16 years as a partner at Allen & Overy LLP (during which time he was based in Hong Kong, Milan, Amsterdam and London).

Julian oversees all aspects of P3P’s business, in particular leading the structuring and negotiation of P3P’s transactions.

A keen cyclist (and lycra-enthusiast), Julian has led P3P groups cycling from London to the Isle of Wight and London to Paris, and in 2021 took the team on a cycling-focused trip to Girona.

Rupert Lywood

Partner

Rupert set up P3P Partners LLP in 2011 along with Julian Harris, and is specialised in structured finance and venture capital.

Rupert, a serial entrepreneur and investor, originally qualified as a chartered accountant with Robson Rhodes. Latterly he specialised in structured finance and venture capital.

As well as founding P3P, Rupert has spent the last 25 years building numerous successful businesses across the Energy, Tech, Finance, Medical and Media sectors.

Rupert is a keen sailor and regularly crosses the Atlantic under sail.

Alex Bartho

Partner

Alex is legally qualified and primarily responsible for P3P’s deal execution, transaction structuring and commercial strategy.

Alex is an energy industry professional (as well as recovering lawyer) with more than 14 years’ experience in the sector spanning legal practice in the renewable sector at Ashurst and M&A and structured finance leadership at Ørsted prior to joining P3P in 2019.

Alex became Partner in April 2023 and is primarily responsible for P3P’s deal execution, transaction structuring and commercial strategy.

Outside of work, Alex is a keen amateur mycologist, growing Pink Oyster and Lion’s Mane mushrooms, among others.

Philip Elborne

Partner

Pip joined P3P in 2014 and now works primarily on new business origination and oversight of development and engineering operations.

Pip has 14 years’ experience in the energy industry, having spent five years at GE’s Power & Water business before joining P3P in 2014. He has worked across the power generation sector including operations, construction, development, project management, and new business origination.

Having become a Partner in April 2023, Pip is primarily responsible for new business origination and oversight of development and engineering operations.

As with many young(ish) fathers, he spends most of his time outside of work worrying about how long it is going to take until all of his children can beat him at each of his competitive hobbies.

Ian Haszlakiewicz

Partner

Ian runs P3P’s energy supply and trading business and evaluates new investment opportunities across various energy technologies.
Ian started his career as an analyst specialising in natural gas, LNG and power markets, before joining P3P in 2016 to develop its energy market operations. Ian became Partner in April 2023. Ian runs P3P’s energy supply and trading business and evaluates new investment opportunities across various energy technologies. His focus is on optimising energy and CO2 provision in the horticulture sector. In his spare time, Ian is a golf bore. Qualifications MA in Economics, University of Edinburgh

Rodrigo Mendes

Construction Project Manager

Rodrigo is primarily responsible for overseeing and delivering P3P’s construction developments.

Rodrigo is an enthusiastic civil engineering professional versed in all aspects of design, construction and project management. Before joining P3P Partners, Rodrigo has had roles in different construction activities such as heat and power, infrastructure, highways, and recycling projects.

He joined P3P Partners in January 2023 and is primarily responsible for overseeing and delivering P3P’s construction developments.

When not at work Rodrigo loves to spend good quality time with friends and enjoys sports like football and tennis.

Rosalyn cheetham

Head of Engineering, Perfectly Fresh

Rosalyn is currently seconded to Perfectly Fresh, P3P’s joint venture business in the vertical farming sector, as Head of Engineering.

Rosalyn is an engineering professional with over 10 years’ experience leading inter-discipline teams to deliver complex projects. Before joining P3P she led teams across the globe to deliver multi-billion-pound projects within the Oil & Gas sector.

Since joining P3P in 2017 Rosalyn has predominantly worked on their joint venture business, Perfectly Fresh, leading the development of innovative solutions and projects within the vertical farming sector.

Outside of work, Rosalyn will often be found seeking out new areas to explore in her hiking boots.

Tom Petrides

Land Manager

Tom sources land opportunities for energy projects, negotiating option agreements and taking schemes through planning process.

Tom has worked across the real estate industry for nearly a decade, gaining experience as a land agent specialising in sourcing off-market opportunities. Prior to joining P3P Partners he was part of the acquisition team of a national strategic land promoter and housebuilder.

As Land Manager, Tom applies his experience in property acquisition and land promotion to focus on sourcing land opportunities for energy projects, negotiating option agreements and taking schemes through the planning process.

In his spare time Tom enjoys dining out and is a self-confessed ‘fair-weather’ golfer.

Lisa Linde

Human Resources

Lisa’s part-time role covers anything from recruitment and people development to making sure the plants get watered.

Lisa has several years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist, primarily within global Retail and Consumer products businesses. She enjoys working within a new industry and learning about engines and energy.

Her part time role is varied, including anything from recruitment and people development to making sure the plants get watered.

Outside of work, Lisa spends the majority of her time in Dorset tending her vegetable garden, enjoying countryside walks and a bit of yoga.

Liz Bartlett

Senior Legal Counsel

Liz is responsible for the legal aspects of a range of projects, including battery energy storage systems, anaerobic digestion and solar.

Liz is a solicitor with over 10 years’ experience in the real estate and energy sectors, primarily at the London Real Estate Practice of Herbert Smith Freehills, including a secondment to EDF Energy.

Liz joined P3P in 2022 and is responsible for negotiating a wide range of renewable energy land agreements, including solar projects, battery storage systems and anaerobic digestion facilities.

Whilst Liz would love to spend her free time travelling and sampling cuisines from around the world, her children are young, so she is more often found at playgrounds and soft play centres.

Wingfu Poon

Finance Manager

Wingfu is responsible for the management of the finance & accounting functions of the P3P group entities and its various project business ventures.

Wingfu is a chartered accountant who trained and qualified with KPMG. He has worked in a variety of finance roles across different industry sectors before joining P3P in 2016.

Outside of work he is a regular theatregoer and long-suffering football fan.

Roopal Radia

Senior Financial Accountant

Roopal is a qualified management accountant responsible for the financial management and controls of many P3P projects.

Roopal is a qualified management accountant who has previously worked in the Finance department of a global airline supporting the Commercial, Network and Strategy areas of the business.

Roopal joined P3P in 2020 and is responsible for the financial management and controls of some of the Energy Centres, the Solar Farm and Nature’s Journey (a CBD Wellness venture).

Outside of work, Roopal enjoys travel, yoga, and good wine!

Francesca Neal

Office Manager

Francesca is responsible for the day-to-day running of our London office.

Bringing with her over fifteen years of admin experience, Francesca is responsible for the day to day running of our London office.

She has worked in TV production as a live floor assistant for various genres at the BBC, and a production co-ordinator in documentaries. She has also been a studio manager in the design industry and is a qualified personal trainer.

She is a big advocate of holistic health and Eastern acupuncture.

Georgina Marten

Administrator

Georgina provides administrative support to the accounts team in a part-time role.

Georgina joined P3P in 2015 and has held various roles over her time here. In her current part-time role, she provides administrative support to the accounts team and is the go-to person for organising cycle rides and knowing the ins and outs of P3P.

Before joining P3P Partners, Georgina worked as an EA in an events company.

Outside of work she loves nothing more than a glass of rosé and being a mum to her two children!

Max Wiggin

Energy Trading Manager

Max joined P3P in 2023 and is responsible for trading and managing our site operations.

Max worked for a vertical farming company for 2 years, where he worked in their consulting and licensing team.

Max joined P3P in 2023 and is responsible for trading and managing our site operations.

When Max is not having his heartbroken watching Arsenal, he is either playing golf or desperately trying to grow vegetables at home.

Francisca Wiggins

Development Director

Francisca works alongside the development team to progress opportunities across different business sectors.

Francisca has spent over a decade in development of renewable energy technologies and projects, drifting ever further from the engineering to the attendant commercial challenges in everything from tidal power to rooftop solar.

She works with the development team to progress opportunities across different business sectors.

Outside work, she enjoys sailing, skiing and shepherdessing, of which sadly only one is compatible with life in the East Midlands.

Saad Ali

Head of Data Science

Saad develops and implements data-driven strategies to optimise power generation and electricity trading operations.

Saad is a chartered engineer and a data scientist who joined P3P Partners in 2023. Saad brings over seven years of data science experience, including roles at Air Products and Ceres Power, where he developed end-to-end machine learning systems for chemical plants and fuel cell systems.

Saad now heads the data science function at P3P, developing and implementing data-driven strategies to optimise power generation and electricity trading operations. He combines his engineering acumen with his expertise in data science to provide valuable insights and innovative solutions for the business. In his free time, Saad is a dedicated ‘peek-a-boo’ champion and an amateur singer of ‘baby shark’ tunes for his daughter.

Peter King

Head of Origination

Peter heads up the development team at P3P, executing the existing pipeline and developing new opportunities.

Peter joined P3P after eight years working for a German EPC/Development Group in London successfully growing the EPC, O&M and development parts of the business.

He now heads up the development team at P3P, and his responsibilities include the execution of the existing pipeline and the development of new opportunities.

In his spare time he enjoys nothing more that being next to, on or even under, the sea.

Joe Murphy

Operations Director

Joe looks after the commercial aspects of the operating assets, coming from a similar role in industry.

Prior to joining P3P, Joe trained as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG, working in banking audit and the transaction modelling team.

Away from the desk, Joe enjoys cycling, sailing, and skiing.

Paul Thompson

Head of Connections

Paul manages the distribution and transmission connections for P3P’s portfolio of new energy generation projects.

Paul has been in the renewable energy sector for nearly 15 years working predominantly with and for ICP’s, IDNO’s and developers of wind, solar and energy storage throughout the UK. 

Paul is focused on managing and establishing the distribution and transmission connections for P3P’s portfolio of new energy generation projects.

In his spare time, Paul loves nothing more than travelling, snowboarding and spending time with his dog Bear.

Manny Morales

Lead Energy Marketing Analyst

Manny’s current role within P3P is focused on analytics, trading, and the optimisation of energy portfolios.

Manny started in the energy business developing energy metering, energy efficiency, electrical infrastructure and automation projects, moving to the commercial analysis and modelling of electricity markets and optimisation of assets.

In his spare time, he enjoys cooking and walking around the parks.

Sam O'Neill

Project Developer

Sam joined P3P in 2023 and is responsible for the development of existing projects through the pipeline and assessing new opportunities alongside the wider team.

He has spent the last 8 years in the renewable energy and construction sectors across various roles including development, project management and site engineering.

Sam is focused on developing renewable assets within P3P’s portfolio.

Outside of work Sam spends his time travelling and hiking.

Max Wallace

IT Manager

Max joined P3P as IT Manager in late 2023 and is responsible for the IT ecosystem across all of our sites.

He comes to us with over 10 years’ experience as a Systems Administrator, has worked for both very large and more boutique environments and has supported multi site locations both in the UK and Europe.

In his spare time, Max enjoys videogames, heavy metal, and travelling (mostly between pubs).

Before joining P3P, Maggie worked in a barking-at-postmen role where she successfully increased volumes by over 30% year on year.
