Vertical farming
Our joint venture, Perfectly Fresh, uses vertical farming to help meet the demand for safe, sustainable food while reducing land and water pressures. With a 1,000m² indoor farm, leading R&D facility, and innovative cultivation methods, we provide consistent crop growth and high-quality products, creating a brighter, greener world for our clients and customers.
Bioenergy
We founded and remain an equity investor in Acorn Bioenergy group, a leading biomethane business and renewable heat producer in the UK. By transforming waste into biomethane, a direct substitute for natural gas, we can significantly reduce emissions in the challenging sectors of transport, industry, and agriculture, bringing us closer to a cleaner future.
APS Group
We hold a majority stake in APS, the largest tomato grower in the country, currently supplying one third of all British tomatoes. Food security is a critical issue for the UK, and APS is in a strong position to meet the rising demand by consumers. With our support, APS will expand into other fresh produce areas and play a vital part in growing British fresh produce sustainably.
Isle of Wight Tomatoes
We are a majority stakeholder in the recently re-branded Isle of Wight Tomatoes, previously known as The Tomato Stall. APS has been growing tomatoes for the Ise of Wight Tomatoes for more than 15 years in the fertile Arreton Valley and produces over 40 different varieties. They are dedicated to sustainability and zero waste by repurposing any imperfect tomatoes into their delicious sauces and condiments.
